The Fonz Of The WWE

It was while he was a guest commentator during Dolph Ziggler vs. Alberto Del Rio that Fandango said, "I am the Fonz of the WWE."  And when one of the other commentators said (with some surprise, understandably), "What?!" Fandango replied, "Aaaaay."

He then went on to cost Dolph the match by gyrating on the announce table, thereby distracting him.  And to the usual commentary team's dismay, Fandango didn't stop his dancing until Raw faded to commercial.

Good times.  Er, I guess I should say, Happy days.

Of Dumb Muscle, Justice And Playing Favorites

BG East's Ring Rookies 4: Zori Leone vs. Big Barry Burke

Today I drop all pretense of being objective, unbiased.  I've got to say that at this moment in time, my right-now no-questions-asked all-time favorite wrestler is BG East's new addition, Big Barry Burke.  Appearance-wise alone, he is oh-shut-the-fuck-up-gorgeous.  The fact that he can wrestle certainly only adds to the appeal.  And his first match (in I hope of many many) for BG East against Zori Leone is a great one.  Leone is the perfect heel, with his smart mouth, dirty tricks, vicious streak (and when needed, back-pedaling).

Ring Rookies 4 (available either as part of a set, or conveniently and affordably individually, as I enjoyed it) has something for every wrestling fan, I really think that.  You know I'm a fan of one-sided beatdowns of the wrestlers I love, or else I surely could have come up with a better blog name than "Inner Jobber."  And Big Barry, in something of the Dumb Muscle role (that I do so love), is convinced to fight the match with one arm tied behind his back.  This gives Zori Leone a strong advantage, and though Big Barry fights back valiantly, there's only so much he can do.

BUT!  Even us fans of squashes have a sense of justice.  And seeing a put-upon jobber get some of his own back, or a smarmy villain get his comeuppance, can be truly satisfying.  So one-sided, or back-and-forth, bad guy triumphing, good guy triumphing, howEVER you like your wrestling, it's mixed in here.

Enough talk.  Now for the click-to-enlarge images.  (Or, in the immortal words of Rocket J. Squirrel, "Now here's something we hope you'll REALLY like!")

Mouthy Brutes

Thunder's Arena--Bodybuilder Battle 61: Johnny Bravo vs. Bear

I don't want to specifically mention any of the hilarious quips that come out of Bear's mouth in Bodybuilder Battle 61: Johnny Bravo vs. Bear from Thunder's Arena, because I'd hate to mislead you into thinking it was JUST funny.  No, it's an incredibly hot match.  It's a thrill to see a huge guy who's accustomed to dishing out pain find himself on the receiving end.

And by the way, the pictures featured here all come from the FIRST half of the match.  There comes a point when you think the match must be over; the final submission has been achieved, and all anger has been vented on the unfortunate victim.  But something happens, and an entire second act ensues...

Big guys (HUGE guys).  Vicious holds.  Smart aleck remarks throughout.  Maybe some one-sided offense.  This match has so much that I, personally, love about wrestling.

EC3 On Seven Four

Ah, the Fourth of July.  American Independence Day.  The one day a year that comes around and makes me stop, makes me reflect, makes me really think, "By God, I should have gotten into selling stars-and-stripes bikini tops, I'd make a FORTUNE."

Here in his red, white and blue glory is TNA's Ethan Carter III (or EC3), from a few different glorious angles.  I know that when you watch a lot of wrestling, you can get kind of desensitized to good-looking men with great bodies.  You get used to it, you take it for granted.  But look at EC3.  Seriously, he's very impressive.  Click to enlarge and really get the picture.

Oh, and happy Independence Day, everybody.

4K > HD

You know I'm not a very technical person.  I don't know what a lot of stuff means.  However!  Movimus Wrestling will now be filming in 4K.  It seems 4K is better quality than HD.  And here I was, thinking that HD meant the best quality.  (Update: 4K is technically 4x the resolution of HD.  Damn!)

So Movimus Wrestling will now be filming in quality better than the best!  Pretty awesome.  Check out the video on YouTube to enjoy it in 4K if your screen resolution supports it.
