Unleashed

Chace LaChance vs. Flash LaCash ("Unleashed," at Wrestler4Hire) is everything I could want in a squash match.  Chace, as the jobber, starts off friendly and enthusiastic and willing to shake hands.  He's beautiful, buff and lightly hairy, and his trunks work overtime to highlight one of the most perfect asses in the developed world.

Flash, the heel, goes about his job of destructing poor Chace with sadistic glee.  His actions are brutal, and seem all the more so in contrast with his constant gleaming white smile.  As he works, he constantly deflates and humiliates Chace.  "From Italian Stallion to Ballerina Pony."  After a match full of verbal and physical punishment, our babyface once again falls for the ol' crooked handshake trap.  As much fun as Flash seems to be having in demolishing naive Chace, he (Flash) makes it clear, with two sleeper holds and an outright mugging, that though he enjoys his work, he takes it deadly seriously.

Ran Away And Joined The Circus

Once upon a time, WWE very very stupidly fired my favorite most hottest wrestler, Mason Ryan (TwitterInstagram).  But that worked out okay for him, because he ended up working as Chief Archer in "Ka" for Circque du Soleil.  (Kind of old news by now, but I only just found out.)  So, it turns out alright for me too, because that's a few of my favorite things: strength, athleticism, and Mason Ryan in Siouxsie Sioux warpaint (that he does himself).

  1. Actually that is interesting, Sean... This is the first that I have heard this news... Thanks for sharing it, Ray

    1. No prob--I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't know about this already! :)
  2. These days WWE stands for World's Worst Entertainment. I completely agree about the hotness of Mason Ryan. This may be extreme wishful thinking but I would love to see him do some videos for BG East, Wrestler4Hire etc. like Brian Cage did. Come to think of it they would make a helluva a tag team!

    1. The PERFECT tag team! *Cue Homer Simpson drooling noises*
  3. I always thought he was a little too talented for pro wrestling. Of course he looked great (especially when getting a beatdown!) but he seemed frustrated with the limited storylines and all. This would be a great artistic fit for him.

    1. Hearing about different wrestler's "post-wrestling" stories/careers, this one is definitely positive--and unexpected!
    2. I too did not know about this. Shame to hide such a handsome face under makeup, but the guy is working. Thanks for this!
    3. I agree completely, with the "face" and the "working"!

How Did I Miss THIS

Holy crap!  How did this match get by me without me noticing until just now?

From Cameron Matthews: Barry Burke vs Lon DuMont and KARN

You kidding me?  Someone as big and hot as Brian Cage getting double-teamed?  And you KNOW it's gonna be great, since as a heel, Lon Dumont is like a sadistic genius.

Really, this is MY type of match.  This will probably be my FAVORITE match.  So big thanks to the wrestlers involved, and to Cameron for making it happen!

No thanks to my wallet, for being such a skinny little jobber on me right now.  But my very next extra $25 will be going to this match, and it will be well worth it.  And in the meantime, I am going to drool over the images.  (I only stole a few images; more are up at Cameron's site, where you can order the match.)

C-BAC: Sam Bond

It's the holiday return of the C-BAC (those who Coulda Been A Contender, as in, should be wrestling)!

Today's C-BAC: Sam Bond, AKA Atlas on "Gladiators UK."  6'0, 231 lbs.  Oh, and accidental romance novel cover model, when stock images of him were sold for that.

I love his look.  The hair.  The size, without the "gonna cut your hand on his torso" degree of shredded.  Really works (for me).  Kinda looks like a young buff Edge maybe?  (NOT just the hair.)

4K > HD

You know I'm not a very technical person.  I don't know what a lot of stuff means.  However!  Movimus Wrestling will now be filming in 4K.  It seems 4K is better quality than HD.  And here I was, thinking that HD meant the best quality.  (Update: 4K is technically 4x the resolution of HD.  Damn!)

So Movimus Wrestling will now be filming in quality better than the best!  Pretty awesome.  Check out the video on YouTube to enjoy it in 4K if your screen resolution supports it.

Thick Solid Grappling

Movimus Wrestling: Josh Steele vs. Jayson Dolan (orange trunks)

Sorry if you find today's title to be a bit straightforward.  But "promise only what you're prepared to deliver," and I LIKE straightforward.  Probably that's why I like Movimus Wrestling, and Josh Steele vs. Jayson Dolan is just a really really great match.  I'm feeling really straightforward today, and this match is just REALLY satisfying that.  Two big thick strong wrestlers grappling.  It's honest.  There's grunting.  There's a wrestler turning a bright shade of red in a choke hold before he slaps the floor in submission (not multiple panicked taps, but one solid slap, pissed but resigned, a manly submission).

It builds and builds.  You can feel the frustration mounting.  With both guys roughly the same size and strength, it becomes a battle of wills--and they seem to be equally matched there, as well.  But sometimes it's hard to stem the flow once momentum gets going.  By the end of the match, I'm definitely wondering if a second match-up between these two would go the same way...
