Fight Scene (Slow It Down, Make It Bouncy)

Thanks to being able to find wrestling matches instantly on YouTube, and to the existence of wrestling companies catering specifically to gay consumers, it seems the need to rewind and pause during a brief but hot fight scene is a thing of the past.  But once in a while one comes along that is just worth it.

In this clip, the leaner San is taking on a bulkier unnamed opponent with floppy blond hair.  We begin with the blond bull really giving it to San.

Oof, that last shot, of San's POV on the ground, getting punched from above...Ow.

But then after administering some refreshing water, San's manager, Wooyoung, whispers something into his ear, which gives San the determination to come back fighting.

Apparently, this fighter and his manager drive around making money from fights, and here his manager has told me he needs to throw this fight.  But San's ego rebels against that...

...and San surprises his opponent with a beautiful roundhouse kick, ending the fight seconds into the new round.

(Great back by the way)

I mean, given the fact that I didn't have a name to refer to the blond bull by, I suppose the outcome was somewhat predictable...

And seedy underground fighting pit or not, I find it a BIT suspect that San's own manager is delivering the three-count.  Bias, conflict of interest...  Not that the poor blond stud was getting up anyway.

And as San celebrates his victory, Triple H style, you can see his opponent slumped in his corner.  Aw, he's okay.  Probably mainly just frustrated to have the match seemingly all wrapped up, and then to just lose it in a second like that.

And now to cite my sources!  Today's hot fight scene comes from...the music video, "Bouncy (K-Hot Chili Peppers)" by Ateez.  That San, apparently, is a third-degree blackbelt in taekwondo.

The fact that it's from a music video and not an actual movie explains the above image of  a cowboy leading a dance line through the ring immediately after the match.  There's a lot in this four minutes.  (And here's the making-of video, where I learned the fighter's story.)

Hongjoong

(Another theater-worthy video is "Halazia."  If I don't mention it now, when?)
